Adolf Hitler has been the most notorious man in modern history. Born in Austria-Hungary on 20 April 1889 to Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl, he went on to become the foremost leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazi Party), the Chancellor of Germany, and the Fuhrer of Germany during 1934-45. Hitler rose to prominence proclaiming nationalism, anti-Semitism and anti-communism. He had unusual powers of oratory and propaganda. The Nazis established a totalitarian and fascist dictatorship. They ruthlessly assassinated millions of undesirable populations like Jews. The German invasion of Poland in 1939 led to the Second World War. Hitler married Eva Braun and both committed suicide less than 24 hours later, on 30 April 1945.
